Meet jaime
Jaime Littrell is a mother, middle school teacher, and long-time Wilson County resident running for the District 6 seat on the Wilson County Commission. Jaime’s family moved to Lebanon when she was one, and she grew up on a small horse farm, an upbringing that instilled in her a deep appreciation for the county’s rural character and close-knit communities. Having spent nearly her entire life in Wilson County, she has witnessed firsthand how the county has grown and changed—sometimes for the better, and sometimes in ways that raise important questions about sustainability, affordability, and quality of life.
Jaime graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Christian Leadership and a minor in Journalism and began her career serving as a director of children and youth ministries in Williamson County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she made the decision to change careers and entered the classroom, where she now teaches middle school English Language Arts. In addition to teaching, Jaime serves as an advisor for her school’s Model United Nations and Youth in Government programs through the YMCA of Tennessee, helping students learn how civic systems work and how individuals can shape their communities. After marrying in the summer of 2024, Jaime and her husband returned to Wilson County, purchased a home, and later welcomed a baby boy in 2025.
It was through her work with students and her new role as a parent that Jaime began to feel a responsibility to move from teaching civics to practicing it. She believes that local government should reflect the lived experiences of the people it serves, and when she was encouraged to run for County Commission, she saw an opportunity to bring a thoughtful, community-centered perspective to county leadership.
Jaime is focused on responsible growth that balances economic development with preserving Wilson County’s rural identity. Her priorities include strengthening infrastructure, supporting public schools, and addressing the recruitment and retention of quality teachers -- issues she sees as essential to the county’s long-term health. With a background rooted in Christian leadership, education, and years of service in local churches, Jaime believes effective governance requires fairness, transparency, and long-range planning. She is running to help ensure that Wilson County grows in a way that remains affordable, sustainable, and shaped by the people who call it home.
Jaime is ready for change — ready to serve YOU and Wilson County.
